The app allows you to add new ship inspection reports and edit previous reports. Once you are done, a filled-out report will be sent as an attachment to the primary inspector's email address.
The app has two views—All Inspections and New. All Inspections shows all ship inspection results. New is a place to start a new inspection form. The form is broken into six different sections—Inspector, Vessel and Owner Info, Inspection Results, Vessel and Owner Info, Inspection Results, Inspection Results Continued, and Boat Safety. Clicking the section headers or Prev/Next to jump to other sections.
This ship inspection app can capture image, signature, and text. It also auto-generates time and date, simplifies data entry and helps avoid data entry errors. For example, some fields limit your entries to several options, which are shown on a drop-down list, or as buttons.

How we built this app
Lots of other functionalities can be added to this app. Here are some design ideas:
-Create a summary report of all inspections and send out on a daily, weekly or monthly basis to the manager.
-Notify someone of failed inspections.
-Create a view to highlight areas that need to be fixed soon.
-Create an inspection calendar.
-Create a map view to show all your apps and inspections.
