An app to enter cost and manage budget.
This app has two views: Budget and Cost Input. Budget shows each category's annual budget. On this view, each row represents a category--Category Name, Annual Budget and whether or not the category's YTD cost is more than its budget. N means within budget. Y means over budget. Cost Input form view is the place for users to enter cost information. Every time when users open up the form, it auto-generates the time. Other fields are Category, Item Input, Quarter, and Cost.

How we built this app
>>N or Y on Budget View is the column Over Budget. This is a Yes/No column, defined by [Cost YTD] >= [Total] in Data-->Column-->Budget Categories >>Budget Categories table has a lot of virtual columns--quarterly costs (Q1 Cost, Q2 Cost, Q3 Cost, and Q4 Cost), Cost YTD, and Over Budget. Quarterly cost virtual columns pull data you entered to the form and calculate the sum. Cost YTD is the sum of Q1 Cost, Q2 Cost, Q3 Cost and Q4 Cost. Over Budget column compares Cost YTD with the total annual budget.
